Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Fredrick Thorsen, operating as PixDevs (“PixDevs”, “we”, “us”, “our”), handles information in connection with our mobile games and apps and this website at pixdevs.com.

PixDevs is based in Norway and is the data controller responsible for your personal data under the EU/EEA General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You can reach us at support@pixdevs.com; our postal address is available on request.

02

Scope

This policy applies to the PixDevs games and apps published on the Apple App Store and Google Play, and to this website. It does not cover third parties that have their own privacy policies — including the app stores themselves, and any advertising or analytics providers — whose handling of data is governed by their own terms. We link to the relevant third-party policies where they apply.

03

Summary at a glance

  • Our games are free and supported by ads from Google AdMob.
  • To serve ads, AdMob processes your advertising identifier and limited device data. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland we ask for your consent first, and you can choose personalised or non-personalised ads.
  • There are no in-app purchases, and we use no separate analytics or crash-reporting tools.
  • Your game progress is saved on your device. We never sell your personal data.
  • You have rights over your data under the GDPR (and UK GDPR) and, for California and some other US-state residents, comparable privacy laws.
  • Questions or requests: support@pixdevs.com.

Information we collect

Information you provide

When you email us for support or with a privacy request, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message. If a game later offers an account, the information needed to create it (such as a display name) would be collected at that point.

Information collected automatically

To show ads, our advertising provider, Google AdMob, collects technical information through its SDK — including your device's mobile advertising identifier (such as the Android Advertising ID or Apple's IDFA), IP address, device model and operating-system version, language and region, app version, and limited information about how you interact with ads. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, this collection follows the consent choice you make in the in-app prompt described in section 7. We use no separate analytics or crash-reporting tools.

Information stored on your device

Game progress, high scores, and settings are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to us.

Purchases

Our games are free and contain no in-app purchases, so we never collect or process any payment or transaction information.

05

How we use information

We use information to:

  • operate, maintain and improve our games and website;
  • respond to your support and privacy requests;
  • serve and measure advertising through Google AdMob, in line with your consent choices;
  • keep our services secure and prevent fraud and abuse; and
  • comply with legal obligations.
06

Legal bases for processing

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Consent — for storing or accessing identifiers on your device and for showing you ads, including personalised ads where you allow them. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland we obtain this consent through an in-app prompt before any ads are personalised, and you can withdraw it at any time.
  • Performance of a contract — to provide the games and respond to requests you make.
  • Legitimate interests — to keep our services secure, prevent fraud, fix bugs, and improve our games, balanced against your rights and freedoms.
  • Legal obligation — where we must process data to comply with the law.
07

Advertising & third-party SDKs

Our games are free and supported by advertising. We use Google AdMob — provided by Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC (together, “Google”) — to display ads. To select, deliver and measure ads, the AdMob SDK processes your device's advertising identifier and the technical data described in section 4. Google processes this data partly as a separate controller and partly as our processor, as set out in Google's documentation.

Your consent in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland

Before showing ads to users in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we present a consent prompt built on Google's User Messaging Platform — a Google-certified consent management platform. You choose whether to allow personalised ads. If you consent, ads and your advertising identifier may be used to personalise the ads you see; if you decline, you will see non-personalised ads, which use only the limited data needed to show an ad, cap how often you see it, and prevent fraud. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from the game's settings, which reopens the consent prompt — withdrawing consent does not affect your ability to play.

iOS App Tracking Transparency

On iOS, Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt separately asks whether you allow tracking across other companies' apps and websites. We honour your choice; if you do not allow tracking, ads will not use cross-app tracking. You can review this under Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.

Managing your advertising identifier

You can reset or delete your advertising identifier at any time — on iOS under Settings › Privacy & Security › Apple Advertising, and on Android under Settings › Privacy › Ads. Resetting it breaks the link to your earlier ad activity.

How Google uses this data

Google handles the data it receives under its own terms. To learn more, see Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

08

Analytics & crash reporting

Our games do not use separate analytics or crash-reporting tools. The only third-party SDK that collects data is Google AdMob, described in section 7. Any measurement Google carries out to deliver and report on ads is covered by that section and by Google's own policies.

09

In-app purchases

Our games are free and contain no in-app purchases, subscriptions, or virtual currency. We do not process payments or receive any payment information. If we introduce paid features in the future, we will update this policy before they become available.

10

How we share information

We share personal data only in limited circumstances:

  • with Google, as our advertising provider, which receives the data described in section 7 to deliver and measure ads;
  • with other service providers who process data on our behalf under contract (for example, hosting or support tools);
  • where required to comply with the law, enforce our terms, or protect rights and safety; and
  • in connection with a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition, subject to this policy.

We do not sell your personal data for money. Where showing personalised ads counts as a “sale” or “sharing” under some US state laws, you can opt out as described in section 14.

11

International data transfers

We are based in Norway (EEA). Our advertising provider, Google, is based in the United States and may process your data there and in other countries. Where personal data leaves the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we and our providers rely on appropriate safeguards — such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, for transfers to the United States, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (with its UK and Swiss extensions) where the recipient is certified — to protect your data in line with the GDPR.

12

Data retention

Game data stored on your device remains until you delete the app or clear its data. Support correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle your request and a reasonable period afterwards. Data processed by Google for advertising is retained according to Google's own retention practices; any other data processed by our providers is kept only as long as necessary for the purposes described here or as required by law.

13

Your rights (EEA / GDPR)

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data erased;
  • restrict or object to its processing;
  • receive your data in a portable format; and
  • withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

Because our ads rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time from the game's settings; you will then see non-personalised ads and can keep playing. To exercise any of these rights, email support@pixdevs.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority — in Norway, that is Datatilsynet (the Norwegian Data Protection Authority); in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

14

California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used; to request access to and deletion of that information; to correct inaccurate information; and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.

We do not sell personal information for money. However, showing personalised ads may count as “sharing” (or a “sale”) under California law. You can opt out at any time by declining personalised ads in the in-app consent prompt, or by using a recognised opt-out preference signal where available. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. Residents of other US states with similar laws (such as Colorado, Connecticut, Texas and Virginia) have comparable rights, and the same controls apply. To make a request, email support@pixdevs.com.

15

Children's privacy

Our games are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from, or show personalised ads to, children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact support@pixdevs.com and we will delete it. We encourage parents and guardians to supervise children's use of our games.

16

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

17

Third-party links

Our website and games may link to third-party sites and services, including app-store listings. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices; please review their policies.

18

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above, and for material changes we will provide a more prominent notice where appropriate (such as in-app). Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
